About The Position

Responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and decision support to UCM Medical Group. This role includes supporting physician compensation analysis, developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing data-driven insights through advanced data analytics. Financial Analyst II will collaborate closely with operations and finance leadership to drive financial performance, optimize resource utilization, and support the strategic objectives of the medical center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with physician compensation analysis and data analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, including physician compensation, revenue cycle management, reimbursement methodologies, and cost accounting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer service orientation.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred.
  • Experience in an academic medical center or ambulatory services environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, identifying trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support operational decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in the development and reporting of KPIs to track the financial and operational performance of ambulatory services.
  • Support the administration of physician compensation models, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular analyses of physician productivity, compensation, and performance metrics, providing recommendations for adjustments and improvements.
  • Assist with annual budget process for ambulatory services, working closely with department managers to develop realistic financial targets.
  • Provide ongoing financial forecasts to track performance against budget, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools to generate insights from financial, operational, and clinical data.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and other tools to monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics, including KPIs related to patient volume, payer mix, and service line profitability.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement through data analysis and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to analyze and improve the financial performance of various ambulatory clinics, including patient volume, payer mix, and service line profitability.
  • Provide financial insights to support the expansion of ambulatory services, including new clinic openings and service line development.
  • Partner with senior management on strategic planning initiatives, including market analysis, business case development, and financial impact assessments.
  • Lead special projects and financial analyses as requested by senior leadership, such as benchmarking, productivity studies, and cost-benefit analyses.
