About The Position

The Financial Analyst II position within Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is needed to lead analysis and reporting for revenue and expenses which span the P&L. The person in this role will play a key role in managing financial systems required for reporting. They will also work in close partnership with the Senior Leadership Team to provide consistent forecasting on client revenue & expenses, providing detailed financial analysis that will aid in managing our profitability effectively. This person will be instrumental in our monthly close and annual planning process, as they will have reporting responsibilities which span the entire P&L. This role comes with significant opportunities for growth, assisting in strategic areas of the business where we are growing revenue quickly. The Financial Analyst II will report to the FP&A Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other Analytics majors preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ of working as a Financial Analyst or other analyst type experience.
  • Desire to be deep in the data and to help the team develop reports and insights from the financial information.
  • Detail oriented, organized, strong communication skills, thrives in an autonomous work environment.
  • Strong financial modeling capability.
  • A strong sense of curiosity and ownership.
  • This role requires being onsite in our Medford, MA HQ one day per week (Wednesdays).

Responsibilities

  • Comfortable working with operating key financial reporting tools like Jedox, the reporting software that the FP&A team uses to manage financial reporting.
  • Ability to deliver timely and insightful reporting to both internal Finance partners and other business partners throughout Agero.
  • Establishes and manages procedures, goals, and priorities relating to financial management, budget, forecast and/or accounting.
  • Communicates consistently and effectively with various members of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Prepares various internal and external financial statements and reports.
  • Provides guidance for the team in the areas of data organization and visualization using tools such as Sigma.
  • Delivers insightful dashboards to internal customers, providing top level snapshots on key performance indicators.
  • Reviews financial statements with management personnel of all levels, displaying curiosity about what drives the business.
  • Assists in the yearly budgeting/forecast process.
