About The Position

BizFirst is seeking a Financial Analyst II (Accounting Analyst) professional to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet in San Diego. This position supports the CNSP Comptroller by executing core financial management and accounting functions within Navy financial systems. The role focuses on budget execution, transaction reconciliation, and financial data integrity to support audit readiness and accurate financial reporting across the command.

Requirements

  • No bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent financial management or accounting experience (within the last 2 years)
  • Experience working within Navy financial systems such as N-ERP, DTS, SYNCADA, or Continuous Monitoring Program (CMP)
  • Experience supporting budget execution, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes
  • Secret Clearance (required)

Responsibilities

  • Collect, consolidate, and monitor obligation and expenditure data across Navy accounting systems
  • Perform obligation validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Review and resolve unmatched and suspended financial transactions
  • Support month-end close activities and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
  • Process funding documents including Purchase Requests (PRs) within Navy ERP
  • Track, post, and reconcile financial transactions across N-ERP and related systems
  • Support financial data integrity through analysis of legacy and prior-year transactions
  • Assist in maintaining accurate system data to support audit readiness
  • Support audit readiness initiatives through transaction-level validation and corrective actions
  • Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving data quality issues across financial systems
  • Ensure documentation and financial records align with audit requirements and standards
  • Provide training and guidance to end users submitting financial transactions in N-ERP
  • Offer technical support for financial systems and processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial processes and system data quality
