About The Position

Performs extensive short and long term budgeting and forecasting and various forms of financial analysis for potential financial transactions such as acquisitions, real estate, refinancing, and account fluctuations. Completes and distributes various standard and non-standard reports on an established and as needed basis and provides guidance to the Financial Analyst I. This is the second level of a multi-level career development class series. Work assignments enable incumbents to obtain the experience required for advancement to Senior Financial Analyst.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 3-5 years of corporate accounting or finance experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft products: Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Auto aftermarket or glass industry experience preferred
  • CPA designation is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Oracle preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares advanced level scenarios for possible future financial conditions and assists in the preparation of the annual budget, incorporating forecasts and volume projections
  • Develops assumptions regarding the volumes of business which could be expected under the current business plan and under alternative strategies and performs various forms of financial related analyses
  • Prepares various standard and non-standard reports on a pre-established basis and maintains investment portfolio information on income simulation models.
  • Conducts cost/benefit analysis and/or breakeven analysis for various projects as assigned and communicates levels and sources of interest rate risk exposure
  • Performs month-end closing and distribution of monthly financial statements and detailed financial statement analyses, including discussions on various issues
  • Other duties assigned by management.
