The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.
Hartford HealthCare is looking to hire a Financial Analyst I to join our team.
As a Financial Analyst I, you’ll play a key part in helping understand and improve how revenue flows through our healthcare system. You’ll work closely with a variety of teams to dig into data, spot trends, and make sense of what’s changing from month to month. Your insights will help leaders make smarter decisions and keep our financial operations running smoothly.

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare or medical revenue cycle.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills (especially pivot tables).
• Comfortable working with data and explaining insights to others.
• A self-starter who enjoys learning and problem-solving.
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field OR substituted by 10+ years in an analytical role

• EPIC patient accounting system
• Tableau or similar reporting tools
• Kodiak RCA Tool

Responsibilities

• Analyze accounts receivable and revenue data using the Kodiak RCA tool.
• Prepare, Review and explain month-to-month changes in financial activity.
• Create reports and packages to support monthly close processes.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like denial trends and payment patterns.
• Partner with teams across revenue cycle, managed care, Third Party Reimbursement and IT to improve systems and workflows.
• Share insights and support financial decision-making across the organization.
