About The Position

Join our dynamic Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Global Capital markets (GCM) business. This role acts as a key finance partner to line-of-business (LOB) leaders, providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting and reporting to drive strategic decisions, optimize balance sheets and enhance profitability. You will work with partners to forecast capital markets revenue, drive expense optimization, and manage performance metrics in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment. The ideal candidate thrives on data-driven insights, collaborates across teams, and contributes to value creation initiatives. The GCM group helps organizations optimize their capital structure, fund growth, and manage financial risk through a comprehensive suite of debt, financing, and risk management solutions. Key areas include Investment Grade, Leverage Finance, Loan Syndications, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Repo, Structured Credit and Working Capital Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred).
  • Typically, six or more years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L management, balance sheet dynamics.
  • Experience partnering with internal stakeholders, including senior management and business unit heads.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and financial tools (Hyperion, Workday, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL).
  • Familiarity with capital markets products and their financial impact.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial insights to non-finance audience.
  • Intellectual curiosity, proactive mindset and ability to challenge assumptions while working collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial forecasting, planning, and variance analysis for GCM income statement, balance sheet and key metrics.
  • Monitor and analyze business-level performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate strategic decisions, such as resource allocation or funding strategies.
  • Prepare management reports, presentations and ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership including board level summaries, investor relations and regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Treasury, Risk, HR, Controllership, Portfolio Management) to support forecast/planning process, month-end close activities and relationship profitability analysis.
  • Drive process improvements, such as enhancing reporting tools or simplify operations to focus on high-impact areas.
