About the team: The Financial Analyst is responsible for improving the company’s financial status by building financial models, analyzing and interpreting data and results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and supporting our financial planning processes. This is a critical hire for the Corporate FP&A team at Outreach; the perfect candidate for this role will have high attention to detail, good judgment, the ability to think through creative solutions, and strong collaboration skills.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of financial analysis experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proven experience in financial modeling and performing business analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • BA/BS degree in finance or accounting, or a highly analytical field (Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
  • Maturity, professionalism, and a high level of discretion are required
  • Team player with a strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Anaplan or other financial planning software tools a plus
  • Ability to drive structure in ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of accurate and timely budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans. Suggest opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and forecasting processes
  • Support the Accounting team’s monthly and quarterly close processes
  • Prepare monthly budget to actual results and other key financial analyses and report on results to key stakeholders
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with business partners across G&A and communicate with business partners regarding personnel and other expense requests
  • Work on the preparation of Board of Directors materials, executive management presentations and reports, and project-based analyses that summarize business performance with recommendations for necessary actions or changes
