About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity in the BGS Parts and Distribution Services Strategy and Business Development team for an Experienced or Senior Financial Analyst, Business Development — Aerospace Parts & Distribution (Level 4 / Level 5) for our Dallas, TX facility. This team is responsible for capturing new opportunities to expand Boeing Distribution’s product offering. We are seeking a data-driven Financial Analyst to join our Business Development team supporting aerospace parts and distribution. In this role you will bridge distribution operations and strategic growth initiatives for aftermarket parts, spares, repairs, and supply-chain channels. You will build and maintain financial models to evaluate new market entries, partnership opportunities, warehouse and network optimizations, and contract economics for parts and distribution partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or business development; experience in distribution/wholesale or aerospace/aviation parts highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience in Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables), experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Spotfire.
  • Basic proficiency — able to write SELECT statements, simple joins, WHERE filters, GROUP BY aggregations, and perform basic data validation queries.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce); familiarity with inventory and parts-master data concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with heterogeneous supplier data sources, assess data quality and provenance, and make reasoned judgments where data is incomplete or optimistic.
  • Strong analytical rigor, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non‑financial audiences.

  • Experience developing simple data ingestion/validation routines or macros to reconcile and standardize supplier data feeds and flag anomalies.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Opportunity Analysis: Perform in-depth financial feasibility studies and ROI analysis for new business initiatives, warehouse integrations, territory expansions, and distributor partnerships in the aerospace parts market.
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain sophisticated models (NPV, IRR, scenario analysis) to project the financial impact of business development strategies.
  • Growth Performance Tracking: Design and monitor KPIs related to sales trends, channel performance, part lifecycle economics, inventory turns, obsolescence, and new business wins.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct competitor analysis and market research on aerospace parts markets, MRO suppliers, OEMs, and distributor networks to uncover business opportunities and guide pricing strategies.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to align planning assumptions and present financial insights to senior leadership.
  • Contract Support: Assist in economic modeling and financial due diligence during negotiations with vendors, third-party distributors, or potential acquisition targets.
  • Data & Reporting: Extract, manipulate, and analyze transactional and inventory data to support models and dashboards. Write basic SQL queries to pull datasets from relational databases and validate results.
  • Vendor / Supplier Data Interpretation: Ingest, normalize, and interpret supplier and vendor datasets that vary in structure and quality. Identify inconsistencies, implicit assumptions, and gaps between supplied data and operational reality; surface risks and adjustments needed for models and negotiations.
  • Data Quality & Controls: Validate reproduced or copied information receives the same protective controls as originals; flag data-provenance or classification concerns to appropriate owners (per company information protection guidance).
