About The Position

The Commercial Financial Analyst will be a critical role for supporting the organic growth initiatives of the Division. This role will report directly to the Division Controller. The Commercial Financial Analyst is the primary liaison between the finance and the commercial functions and will develop deep partnerships and domain expertise with the Sales team. In addition, this role will need to collaborate with other cross-functional teams including Engineering, Innovation, Operations, IT and HR, across a multi-site Division for driving growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional exposure to commercial, operations, finance, and supply chain.
  • Experience partnering with the commercial or sales organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is a must
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively communicate across various levels
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) with proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to manage large data sets using VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables
  • Ability to manage and prioritize daily functions as well as the ability to multi-task is critical

Nice To Haves

  • Prior-experience with Power-BI or other BI-Dashboard tools is a plus
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment that's deadline driven and focused on creating cross-functional value-added partnerships

Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Margin Forecasting: Drive the revenue forecasting process to develop short-term and long-term forecasts for Monthly/Quarterly Outlook, Annual Plan and Long-range Plans for the Division using existing tools such as Saphran and real time customer demand such as open orders & EDI.
  • Revenue Analytics for Actionable Insights: Monthly and quarterly revenue analysis with meaningful variance commentary Analysis of Revenue by OEM, Market, $/car, Product, Region, etc.
  • Sold Order Reporting: Report Division sold orders
  • Sold Order Audit: Perform monthly audit of booked sold orders
  • Quads & Quartiles: Prepare and maintain Quad and Quartiles reporting for the Division
  • Segmentation Analysis: Strategic analysis to support appropriate Segmentation for revenues
  • Price & Cost: Track Price (customer pricing) and Cost (vendor pricing of raw materials) for Shakeproof Division, track changes and margins over time to make recommendations during negotiations with customers
  • KPIs & Dashboards: Develop and monitor Sales KPIs; and implement Dashboards for KPI reporting
  • Support Division with ad-hoc reporting on sales margin as needed
  • Participate in ITW Toolbox Initiatives within the business (FTB 80/20, USa, PLS).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
