Healthcare Financial Analyst 2 Location: Albany, NY Division: Division of Finance & Rate Setting (DFRS), Item 1195 Work Schedule: Hybrid – 50% Remote / 50% Onsite Responsibilities Data Management & Administration • Oversee, clean, and structure large healthcare datasets (e.g., Medicaid claims, provider financial reports) for accuracy and compliance Financial Reporting & Analysis • Develop routine and ad‑hoc financial reports to analyze program performance, budget variances, and financial trends • Utilize SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools for financial analysis Medicaid Policy & Reimbursement • Support the development of Medicaid reimbursement rates • Analyze policy changes, including State Plan Amendments (SPAs) and federal waiver programs Data Modeling & Quality Improvement • Conduct advanced data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities • Recommend data‑driven enhancements to support program efficiency Strategic Support • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders • Provide financial insights to support decision‑making Basic Qualifications • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data management, data administration, and/or data reporting Benefits That Support You At SSO, we invest in your well‑being, financial security, and professional growth. Standard hours are 37.5 per week, Monday through Friday, typically 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch, unless otherwise directed by a supervisor. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
