About The Position

At John Mini Distinctive Landscapes, we make places beautiful. We are recognized as a leader in indoor and outdoor landscaping and holiday design. We design, install and maintain landscapes all over the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Due to company growth, we are hiring a Finance Supervisor to oversee accounting and financial reporting while leading our Finance team based out of our Congers, NY headquarters. This is a full-time role with opportunity for long-term career development and advancement — we’ve been around for 50 years, and we are just getting started. The Finance Supervisor is meticulous and highly organized, ensuring timeliness and precision throughout day-to-day functions, including:

Requirements

A BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Finance role
A strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger structure
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience overseeing and delegating work to a team

Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly financial reporting
Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and account reconciliations
Assisting with payroll processing, as needed
Working closely with the Director of Finance to coordinate internal and external audits
Overseeing the Finance team, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
