About The Position

The IT Finance and Procurement organization is seeking an individual with outstanding financial analysis and leadership skills to lead with high energy in a fast paced, high visibility financial environment. This leadership role will be responsible for a managing a team of financial analysts. The role will report to the Manager of IT Finance and Procurement. This is a full time, on-site position in Groton, CT. This supervisor position oversees personnel responsible for financials managed by the IT department. These tasks include computer, network, overhead, software, and various other costs associated with IT financial management and reporting. The group is responsible for supporting the audit of Sarbanes-Oxley IT controls, analyzing financial data related to IT costs, financial analysis to support negotiations and management of IT Outsourcing contracts, supporting the development of Computer Forward Pricing rates, the development and ongoing management of the yearly IT Operating Plan, and assisting with the development and oversight of the IT Indirect budget plan. Position requires proven skills in: organization, multitasking, problem solving, attention to detail, negotiating and communication, budgeting, forecasting and excellent computer skills. The ability to interface effectively with EB IT Project Management Office, End Users, Program Offices, Audit and Compliance, EB IT Cyber organization, Supplier Senior Level Executives, as well as Senior Electric Boat Management Staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting or related business field
  • 2+ years prior supervisor experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance
  • Detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills, with a demonstrated strong work ethic for completing tasks and assignments according to schedule
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in forecasting and budgeting
  • Proficiency with MS Office

  • Previous EB finance experience
  • Masters in Business Administration

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring company processes and procedures are clearly communicated, understood, and consistently followed
  • Review and approval of funding sources for procurement, projects, and labor charging
  • Create and adhere to annual operating plan and overhead budget performance
  • Assist in contract negotiations to review financial implications
  • Support the financial evaluation of new projects
  • Provide training and development of personnel, assignment of work and prioritization, review and approval of work product, labor approvals and progressing, assuring timely completion of work assignments, and completion of salaried performance reviews
  • Communicate with leadership on the financial status on an as needed basis
  • Respond to multiple audit agencies inquiries regarding requested financial information
  • Aid in the review and creation of Computer Forward Pricing cost estimates in support of the Contracts and Estimating group
