About The Position

PURPOSE: The Finance Specialist supports the financial operations of a newly established manufacturing facility. This role works closely with the CFO and collaborates with cross-functional teams in the U.S. and Italy to ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing finance background, experience working in SAP, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a start-up or growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with international teams or global organizations.
  • Manufacturing cost accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, including collaboration with international teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial records in SAP, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.
  • Track and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and variances.
  • Support standard cost development and maintenance within SAP.
  • Collaborate with operations to improve cost visibility and financial controls.
  • Work closely with the Italian finance operations teams to align financial processes, reporting requirements, and timelines.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and support global reporting initiatives.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Support internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Help implement and define finance processes as the facility scales.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for business decisions and special projects.
  • Support system enhancements, process improvements, and SAP best practices.
  • Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned by the CFO.
