Finance Operations Analyst

FinixSan Francisco, CA
59d$95,000 - $150,000Onsite

About The Position

Finix is seeking a talented Finance Operations Analyst. This is a high-impact role blending business operations and financial analysis. At Finix, analysts don't just support decisions; they shape them. If you're coming from management consulting, investment banking, or comparable analytical environments, this role offers the perfect transition into high-stakes operational execution. Reporting to our Head of Finance, you'll be a key driver of our analytical engine, orchestrating workstreams that directly impact company strategy and execution. This role spans the full value chain, from resource allocation to exception management to equity appreciation. This is an in-office role.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, business operations, or comparable high-performing analytical environments
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency (complex modeling, pivot tables, sophisticated formulas)
  • Proficiency in SQL; Python experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while delivering actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Superior communication skills-you translate technical analyses into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders
  • Track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and driving measurable process improvements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Act as orchestrator of finance operations, rigorously prioritizing initiatives across finance, accounting, and operations workstreams
  • Manage the order-to-cash process from order form execution through accounts receivable and collections, ensuring cash conversion efficiency
  • Partner with product, engineering, risk, and the exception management function to scale payment operations-investigating complex exceptions (failed ACH transfers, declined transactions, settlement discrepancies), managing chargebacks, and identifying root causes
  • Own discrete cross-functional projects (e.g., software platform integrations, new payment method launches, vertical integration into banking system) from scoping through delivery
  • Track KPIs and calculate ROI on operational initiatives to guide resource allocation and support board-level financial modeling and investor reporting
  • Conduct analyses on payment volume, take rates, margins, and value at risk to identify investment opportunities
  • Document processes, create SOPs, and drive operational consistency across our distributed team
