About The Position

The Finance Operations Analyst is responsible for handling all finance operations functions which include issuing & researching payments for claims, capitation, vendor refunds, and analysis. This is a Hybrid-NY role, located at 100 Church Street, requiring three days per week in the office (Tues/Wed/Thurs).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with accounting functions within a health insurance payer platform.
  • Ability to analyze financial information & reports.
  • Experience with computers, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with SAS or SQL reporting (i.e. running queries).
  • Experience with Workday.

Responsibilities

  • Create service forms for returned checks and vendor refunds in PEGA.
  • Process Medical Home, Member Refund, FQHC, and other ad-hoc transactions in Workday.
  • Responsible for voiding and reissuing checks upon request, abandoned property issues, provider refunds and returned checks.
  • Perform stop payment requests to be handled by the Treasury department to send to the bank.
  • Data entry of check information for returned checks and vendor refunds as received.
  • Oversee and create monthly reporting on issued payments and ensure that payment detail files are generated & available for payees.
  • Perform reconciliation and analysis of all (claims, capitation, vendor payments, and etc) payments.
  • Creation of monthly reports of data related to payments for all lines of business.
  • Special projects as determined by management.
