About The Position

The Opportunity: We are looking for a Finance Manager based in El Segundo, CA to work with the fast-paced Global Shared Services team. This is a great opportunity to work with accounting and finance teams around the globe and lead process improvement projects. This position reports directly for the VP of Mattel Global Shared Services. What Your Impact Will Be: Manage planning processes, coordinate budget preparation, and deliver quarterly forecasts for the Global Shared Services organization Monitor the financial progress against targets Work with operational team members to understand variances, identify financial risks and opportunities, and escalate them to management as appropriate Provide analyses to support decision-making, including presenting economic outcomes, identifying the key value drivers, benefits, sensitivities and risks, accounting and fiscal implications. Oversee process for reporting monthly financial data to internal stakeholders Manage contract of large 3rd party service provider Project manage process improvement projects across all shared services functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, and Banking. Lead shared services transition projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or comparable field and/or related years of experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of combined experience in corporate finance, accounting, or other financial analytics roles (required)
  • Proven track record of budgeting and financial analysis
  • Experience with project management processes
  • Analytical abilities and are capable of synthesizing and prioritizing a large volume of information. You use logic and trusted expertise to derive a variety of scenarios and solutions. You can think critically to make clear, well-reasoned and rational decisions.
  • Accountability and can take personal ownership for delivering and exceeding commitments. You hold yourself to the highest standard for performance necessary to achieve results. You embody and foster a play to win and win to grow mindset, even on the toughest projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle and advanced knowledge of Excel preferred
