About The Position

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. In this role, you will lead full finance support for the Knowledge and Information (K&I) Marketing team. You will work in close partnership with highly talented finance colleagues across Marketing, Central Marketing Finance, and the broader K&I central teams to drive excellence into global investments. You will be responsible for delivering Market Intelligence that drives executive decision-making, guiding AI-driven initiatives, and accelerating process improvements to scale the finance function. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Knowledge and Information Central team and Marketing Finance team.
  • Direct internal and external AI-focused workstreams, including Project Fuel and Ads Measurement, Privacy, Partnership, Platforms and Display (AMPD) AI learning initiatives.
  • Oversee central organizational activities including objectives and key results (OKR) setting, etc.
  • Execute complex financial modeling and reporting to support shifting business priorities and executive inquiries.
  • Partner cross-functionally provide business Intelligence to drive decisions, exchange insights and best practices for the team.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and process improvements across the finance function.
  • Lead the Long-Range Plan (LRP) and annual planning cycles centrally for Knowledge and Information Marketing.
  • Manage all quarterly business reviews (QBRs), monthly financial reviews, and recap reporting to provide transparency into marketing spend and return on investment (ROI).
