About The Position

Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Finance Manager to lead FP&A
Reporting for Amazon's Global Logistics Inbound Network. This role combines
financial reporting leadership with strategic partnership, serving as the
primary owner of all Inbound financial reporting, analysis, and insights that
drive decision-making across the organization.

As the FP&A Reporting Lead for Inbound, you will own the end-to-end reporting
process, including monthly financial reviews, variance analysis, forecasting,
and executive-level reporting packages. You will be responsible for
consolidating financial results across multiple Inbound business units,
developing standardized reporting frameworks, and delivering actionable insights
that influence strategic decisions. This role requires translating complex
financial data into clear narratives that enable leadership to understand
performance drivers and make informed business decisions.

This person will work closely with the Inbound Planning and Execution team as
their strategic finance business partner, serving as the primary point of
contact for all financial reporting and analysis. They will take a practical,
down-to-earth approach to thoroughly understand the team's operations, identify
cost savings opportunities, and own the process for securing financial
entitlements. Through regular meetings and deep dives into data and performance
metrics, they will gain insights into areas for optimization and process
improvements.

Throughout the day, you're constantly switching between strategic thinking (What
does this data mean for our business?) and tactical execution (How do I ensure
this report is accurate and on time?). You're equally comfortable presenting to
VPs, debugging a data discrepancy with analysts, and rolling up your sleeves to
build financial models. Your ability to translate complex financial information
into clear insights makes you an indispensable partner to the Inbound leadership
team.

The Inbound Transportation Finance Team is responsible for oversight of the
consolidated P&L that comprises of Imports, Domestic Inbound, and Transfers and
is responsible for getting inventory from Vendors to Fulfillment Centers (FCs)
as well as moving inventory within the FC network in a cost efficient and timely
manner.

Requirements

• Advanced ability to deep dive data to build strategy, analytical models, and compelling financial narratives
• Proven expertise in FP&A reporting, financial consolidation, and business performance analysis
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills with ability to translate data into strategic insights
• Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with execution finance partners – you influence decisions through data-driven insights and clear communication
• Ability to root cause issues quickly, uncover core problems using data, and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner
• Provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events and tight deadlines
• Proven expertise managing, evaluating, and analyzing large datasets quickly to create meaningful business reporting
• Ability to self-start and create direction in a rapidly changing and often ambiguous environment
• Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive results
• Executive presence with ability to present complex financial information to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

• 7+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• MBA, or CPA
• 6+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
• 3+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making

Responsibilities

• Own and lead all FP&A reporting for Inbound operations, including monthly business reviews, executive dashboards, and performance scorecards
• Develop and maintain standardized reporting frameworks that provide consistent, accurate, and timely financial insights to stakeholders at all levels
• Lead variance analysis and financial storytelling, translating data into clear narratives that explain performance drivers and trends
• Partner with business leaders to design KPIs and metrics that align with strategic objectives and drive accountability
• Consolidate financial results across Inbound business units, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting
• Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range planning activities
• Provide financial analysis and insights to business leaders, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
• Identify and drive cost savings opportunities across the Inbound supply chain network through data-driven analysis
• Build strategic relationships with cross-functional partners to influence decision-making and drive profitability
• Lead the development of reporting automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.
• Works with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data, identifies root causes of data issues, escalates discrepancies, fixes data where possible or partners to deliver a solution.
• Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
