How you will make an impact: The Large Molecule Business is part of Thermo Fisher’s Pharma Services Group and consists of Biologics (BIO), Viral Vector Services (VVS), and Advanced Therapies business. As a Large Molecule Contract Drug and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), we provide essential, specialized services for developing and producing complex biologics--such as monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and cell & gene therapies--from preclinical stages to commercialization. Seeking a Senior Finance Manager who will lead an FP&A team of 3 supporting a $1billion P&L with manufacturing operations in North America, Europe, and APAC. This role will own the financial planning and analytics consolidation for the business unit and serve as FP&A Lead for the Senior Director, Finance, for the Large Molecule business unit. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify and implement operational improvement opportunities and develop a strong finance team.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in progressive finance, including financial planning & analysis, reporting and analytics
  • An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and strong finance skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven business partner and influencer

Nice To Haves

  • Proven understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), SAP ERP (or equivalent), PowerPoint, and Hyperion preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead AOP / QBR / STRAP/ MBR for the Large Molecule business unit
  • Monitor and analyze financials, including leading monthly and quarterly reporting (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, KPI's, CAPEX, FCF)
  • Lead data analysis for the business, using complex data and problem solving
  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans
  • Closely partner with 8 Site Finance Leads and Controllership/Accounting teams globally through monthly close, forecast, and business reviews
  • Understand and deploy the best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex data and topics
  • Develop high quality effective presentations (i.e. engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep)
  • Identify, communicate, and lead risk & opportunities to the forecast and help drive mitigation actions
  • Build and develop a high performing team
