Advanced Technology – a strategic business unit (SBU) within Raytheon - is looking for a motivated finance professional to lead investments & oversight of BSEC (Bookings / Sales / Earnings / Cash) for the Advanced Effectors & Space portfolio. This individual will work closely with AE&S FP&A Manager, SSBU CFO and AT FP&A team. This role is being offered onsite in Tucson, AZ and based on the needs of the business. Relocation assistance is being offered. Signing bonus is available, provided final candidate meets eligibility requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field & a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience; OR an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
  • Experience with Excel (Including Analysis for Office), Microsoft Word, and/or Power Point
  • Experience with SAP Business Systems / BW Toolset or similar business systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued (Secret) security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Manage investments including Capital, Capital Associated Expense, New Business Investment, Overhead, Inventory & CFR. This includes burn rate analysis, functional alignment, Earned Value lite, quarterly EAC process execution, quarterly investment review preparation and presentation, and ad hoc reporting
  • Provide oversight of the SSBU’s financials including BSEC (Bookings / Sales / Earnings / Cash & EOC (Element of Cost). This will include leading the pre-close and close process monthly, which requires in-depth analysis & providing recommendations to leadership with tight deadlines that may require longer hours during close week to accomplish
  • Provide support for the Long-Range Plan process. Key aspects will include calendar development, cross functional alignment, market growth analysis, with an emphasis on risk and opportunity identification
  • Quickly address ad hoc requests, anticipate and proactively address inconsistencies & data anomalies while working effectively with the Leadership Team
  • Actively contribute to the development and mentorship of team members and support broader organizational development efforts. The selected candidate will need to effectively interact with executive leadership
  • Coordinate and analyze the balance sheet to include Unbilled, Billed CIP, & Inventory. In addition, support CORE initiatives and special projects focused on process improvement
