About The Position

Position Purpose: The Finance Intern will support the site’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Cost Accounting functions. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, providing exposure to operational sales analysis, production variances, and high-level financial modeling to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). Prior exposure to SAP or other ERP systems is a significant plus.
• High attention to detail with the ability to organize complex data sets into clear, actionable summaries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both finance and operations teams.
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment and a desire to learn the nuances of industrial/manufacturing finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reporting monthly operational sales performance, including volume, mix, and price reconciliations.
• Help analyze monthly variances in material and labor, contributing to reports on product profitability and non-quality costs.
• Shadow the finance team in meetings with Production Management to review variances and identify performance improvement areas.
• Support the preparation of the annual operating budget and periodic forecasts, helping to project sales, profit, and operating expenses.
• Assist in the annual update of standard product costs and participate in regular inventory cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
• Utilize SAP and Excel to extract and organize cost-related data for use in executive financial reporting.
