About The Position
Nelnet is a student loan servicer, technology company, idea incubator, start-up accelerator, and K-12 and higher education expert. Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS) is seeking a Finance/Accounting intern who will handle a wide range of financial, accounting, and system related tasks.
Requirements
- Working towards a degree in Accounting or Finance
- Relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments
- Attention to detail.
- PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to learn new processes.
- Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.
- Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
- Good work ethic and habits.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis assistance, including month end close and ad hoc requests.
- Support our initiative to modernize our finance through AI tools.
- Complete special projects as assigned by management.
