JOB DESCRIPTION: Location: US‑based (Eastern or Central Time Zone) Job Summary The Finance Director, North America is responsible for overseeing all financial operations across the U.S. and Canadian HBX Group entities—including HB USA Inc., HB US Holdco, TravelStack Inc. (B2C), and HB Canada. This leadership role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations, timely statutory filings, tax coordination, and robust cash flow management. The role partners closely with business leaders and regional/global finance teams to enable strategic decision‑making, operational performance, and long‑term value creation.

Requirements

  • Strong command of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a hands‑on mindset.
  • Ability to manage remote teams effectively.
  • Strong communicator with influencing capability across senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle complexity, deadlines, and multi‑entity environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP (HFM is a plus).
  • Ability to interpret financial data and create executive-level reports.
  • Familiarity with financial systems supporting multi‑currency and multi‑entity accounting.
  • Minimum 7+ years in financial management, financial controlling, or senior finance roles.
  • Prior experience managing U.S. financial statements, taxes, and compliance is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing finance teams remotely.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Previous exposure to multinational or matrix organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Control Lead preparation of accurate financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, across multiple entities in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and HBX Group accounting policies.
  • Oversee internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely, clean reviews.
  • Maintain strong financial control environment, ensuring COSO controls are tracked and adhered to.
  • Tax, Compliance & Risk Management Manage U.S. and Canadian tax compliance, coordinating with internal tax teams and external advisors (federal, state, city, and provincial).
  • Support and oversee U.S. tax matters, including: ✓ income tax ✓ sales tax ✓ state & local filings Review and mitigate financial risks, including litigations in partnership with Legal.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Monitor and optimize multi-currency cash flows, ensuring liquidity and timely payments.
  • Work with credit card providers and Group Treasury to manage VCC usage, rebates, and fraud prevention.
  • Business Partnering & Strategy Partner with commercial and operational leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.
  • Lead reviews of new business setups or structural changes, integrating tax, legal, and financial considerations.
  • Leadership & Remote Team Management Lead and develop a remote team of Finance Analysts (based in Mexico).
  • Drive high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement in a distributed environment.
