About The Position

Performs the duties necessary to support the interpretation of breast imaging studies and preforms these duties in a manner that meets the service and productivity expectations of the breast-imaging department. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to participant in the training of new staff members
  • Direct all activities toward meeting and exceeding the needs and expectations of all departmental and Medical Center customers.
  • Must demonstrate understanding of organizational vision, mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Assume an active role and provide valuable input to the management team of the Breast Imaging Department
  • Confirm certified return mail receipts
  • Contributes to staff and team meetings on a regular basis
  • Digitize and/or re-digitize analog studies using iCAD process and procedures, when needed
  • Has working knowledge of Epic
  • Interacts with all departmental and Medical Center customers to respond and act upon service issues.
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Maintains work environment in a manner that meets departmental and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain valid driver's license
  • Place orders in Epic, including but not limited to, obtaining a hospital account record, when needed
  • Prepare, sort and mail patient, physician and certified letters
  • Prepare documents for scanning to include printing of scanning cover sheet
  • Prepares and assigns breast-imaging examinations for interpretation. This includes, but not limited to, screening, diagnostics, interventional breast tissue sampling procedures, breast MRI's and procedures, IOE's, comparisons and store-only orders.
  • Prepares outside images for importing. This includes, but not limited to, placing store-only orders in Epic, importing and reconciling images in Candelis.
  • Processes data information requests as per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Produces work in an efficient manner that meets departmental productivity standards
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and responsive environment for all departmental and Medical Center customers.
