About The Position

Position Highlights: The Breast Imaging Liaison will assist in the department screening mammography initiative to increase volume of screening and diagnostic mammography patients. Will serve as the communication link between the Radiologists/technologists and the patient. Incumbent will work closely with the Breast Imaging Quality Control tech/navigator, and the Breast Imaging supervisor to ensure that the screening patients move through the department and their appointments efficiently. Incumbents will also be responsible for the MagView risk assessment program and assist the patients in completing the questions. Incumbent will communicate any delays to the patients and manage the patient flow through the dressing rooms. Requirements

High school Diploma or Equivalent required.
At least 2 years in a healthcare setting, either hospital or outpatient based and/ or customer service experience.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook for email.

Responsibilities

Provides Patient Follow-up
Makes sure patients are checked in and on the tracking board for technologists.
Communicates any delays.
assists patients with follow-up appointments for the day
Assists with Records Retrieval
Provides patient assistance with medical record retrieval of prior imaging examinations when appropriate
Facilitates risk assessment modules
Assist and/or facilitate the risk assessment modules for screening patients.
Provides coverage for the QC Technologist/ Navigator
Faxes outside provider reports and mails patient letters
