Pines has an immediate opening for a File Clerk at our Caribou Health Center.

Responsibilities

• Scans physician-dictated reports and complies with requests for copies of patient records from patients and other persons such as physicians, patients and insurance companies following departmental policies to safeguard patient confidentiality.
• Locates records, which have been checked out or are missing, in accordance with departmental policies for safeguarding patient records.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards.
• May perform other routine clerical tasks, such as typing, making copies and distributing mail as required.
• Prepares (to include stocking of medical supplies as needed) and cleans exam rooms for provider/patient needs.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• May be required to fill in or assist other staff members, thus would need to be familiar with basic duties of their job.
