Would you like to facilitate outdoor activities in an inspiring, interactive, hands-on/minds-on, and culturally responsive way? T he Emerald Necklace Conservancy is hiring a team of up to three capable, enthusiastic educators to lead environmental education activities for Boston youth in the Emerald Necklace parks. The Field Trip Teacher will lead environmental field trips for Boston Public School classrooms in the Emerald Necklace parks. Canopy Classroom is a two-hour field trip program offered for Boston Public School's 3 rd and 4 th grade classrooms. Canopy Classroom is a place-based, environmental education program consistent with Boston Public Schools science curriculum standards to connect Boston youth to the natural world. The goal of the program is to guide students to become more environmentally conscious by highlighting the real-world applications of science and its relevance to their daily lives. Field t rips include fun, interactive nature connection activities in the Emerald Necklace.
