About The Position

As a Field Support Technician, you will perform service activities associated with installing, maintaining, and servicing Collins Aerospace Interior seating products at aircraft manufacturing facilities or customer sites. What You Will Do: Assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of technical/business support employees Travel independently when needed to other locations to work in support of products Demonstrates behaviors in line with Collins Leadership Behaviors and Values Provides support to customers in solving technical problems incurred in the installation or operation of company products; consults with customers regarding pre and post-installation problems; may review customer equipment interface requirements. May familiarize customers with the maintenance and use of their products and drawings. Troubleshoots and diagnoses system/equipment interfaces problems during installations. Performs preventive maintenance, modifications, and field changes to installed equipment as necessary. Provides support in the conduct and performance of equipment/system acceptance testing following installation. Use applicable drawings and tools to troubleshoot problems Ensure all necessary documentation is correct and completed for works carried; and, all systems are updated and reflect current status against daily work plan (Velocity/CMES, WUC’s) Assists engineering in determining and solving equipment design problems, evaluating product performance, and conducting field trials.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
