About The Position

FIBRO is a leading global supplier and pioneer in rotary tables and planetary systems. We offer the most comprehensive range of rotary table styles and sizes from a single source. Our products are implemented in manufacturing processes as indexing or positioning axes for metal cutting and machining, as well as for automation applications. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering service to our FIBRO Rotary Tables and accessories throughout their lifecycle. This includes assembly, start-up, quality control, and commissioning of new tables, as well as preventive maintenance, evaluation, and repair at both our company location and customer sites.

Requirements

  • Ability to repair and rebuild gearboxes and transmissions and press out bearings and replace them.
  • Demonstrate a positive team spirit and customer focus.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, automation, and electronic equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Resourceful and able to act independently, recognizing when higher intervention is necessary.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to obtain a passport.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working with mechanical, automation, and industrial electronic equipment.
  • Travel required up to 35%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as industrial machine repair technician or machine tool repair mechanic a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble FIBRO Rotary Tables, conduct test runs, perform quality checks, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot FIBRO tables and related equipment.
  • Assist customers in solving problems and suggest repairs or spare parts.
  • Repair FIBRO tables and related equipment at customer sites or in-house.
  • Maintain and submit reports on hours spent working on customer issues.
