About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Service Technician II – RF/Acoustic to join our team! What You'll Be Doing: Supports overseas posts by testing, maintaining, and reporting on equipment in the field. The technician reviews compliance with security standards and provides technical security solutions when needed and maintains and repairs shielded environments for overseas facilities. This position requires excellent verbal and written skills, including the preparation of detailed trip engineering services reports with acoustic and radio frequency test results, as well as documentation of maintenance and repair activities. The technician recommends and coordinates corrective actions to be resolved by domestic State groups and overseas staff, provides training for personnel, and assists with the development of training modules for maintenance and repair programs. Responsibilities also include maintaining test equipment and occasionally providing maintenance and repair support for domestic facilities. The Field Service Technician II – RF/Acoustic is responsible for working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition, to support technical and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of experience in maintaining and repairing radio frequency or acoustic shielded environments.
  • Professional licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, or at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Substantive knowledge of regulations governing the use and access of classified materials.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals or groups outside their organization or agency.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn technical and physical security countermeasure systems and understand Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB) standards.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, manual labor, using ladders, and working on construction sites.
