Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (advanced technical training or certifications strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in window/door service, installation, or related trades
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently
  • Strong customer communication skills, including escalated situations
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or training junior technicians
  • Familiarity with Milgard, MI Windows & Doors, or PGT product lines preferred
  • Comfortable using digital service tools and mobile documentation systems
  • Knowledge of building codes, installation standards, and construction best practices
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs, including ladders and tools
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Milgard, MI Windows & Doors, or PGT product lines preferred
  • advanced technical training or certifications strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve complex and escalated window and door service issues
  • Perform advanced inspections, repairs, retrofits, and adjustments with minimal guidance
  • Serve as a senior field expert for high‑visibility customer situations
  • Clearly communicate findings, solutions, and preventative recommendations
  • Mentor and support Field Service Technicians I & II through coaching and ride‑alongs
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and customer care teams
  • Provide feedback on product performance and recurring field issues
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and parts tracking
  • Keep service vehicle, tools, and inventory field‑ready
  • Uphold safety standards and best practices on every jobsite
  • Recommend product upgrades and preventative maintenance when appropriate
  • Stay current through ongoing training and advanced certifications
