About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team within a specific geographic territory focused on driving revenue growth through in-home consultations and outdoor service solutions. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, executing strategies to meet revenue targets and hands-on sales activity to achieve company goals in customer acquisition, market expansion, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Experience in a “one call close” model is a must
  • Ability to travel as required, ~10-25%
  • Proven success in outside sales management, preferably within the home improvement, construction, or outdoor services industry.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities with experience managing field-based teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven performance management.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; willingness to travel within assigned market area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing for high-leverage accounts
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of outside sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales and margin goals.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales team members to ensure high levels of product knowledge, professionalism, and closing effectiveness.
  • Participate in field activities, including joint sales calls and ride-alongs, to provide real-time coaching and ensure consistent sales process execution.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, set sales strategies, and develop targeted improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation, territory management, and conversion rates.
  • Monitor sales pipeline activity, follow-up practices, and CRM data accuracy to maintain accountability and forecasting accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure a superior customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Coordinate with operations and installation teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement incentive programs, contests, and recognition strategies to drive motivation and results.
  • Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust strategy as needed.
