About The Position

Would you like to contribute to the protection of the environment and the operational reliability of our pipeline systems by performing high value, high risk work associated with the routine pipeline maintenance and open system hot work on all mainline piping, terminal, and station facilities? If you want to make a difference, Enbridge is the place for you! What You Will Do: Inspecting, Operating and Maintaining Valves, inspecting pipe, launching and receiving pigging tools. Perform Energy Isolation (Lock out Tag Out) prior to maintenance activities. Schedule and perform quality control sampling. Regulatory Preventive Maintenance activities such as Tink Inspection, Valve Inspection, and Facility Security Inspections. Perform all types of applicable pipeline maintenance and repairs (e.g. emergency repairs, stopples, etc.) using appropriate Enbridge policies and procedures including but not limited to task listed in Company manuals. Obtain OQ in Line Locating. Work within the One-Call system to respond to One-Call tickets within the time legal constraints, including but not limited to Line Locating, Third- Party Crossings, Monitor Excavations and perform Asset Damage Prevention Activities. Coordinate with third-party personnel to ensure safe operations and full compliance with Enbridge policies and standards as well as DOT & OSHA regulation, standards and polices for Third-party excavations, line crossings and all other Right of Way activities. Become OQ qualified an all-required tasks prior to performing ork independently and oversee those not OQ qualified when required. Understand and comply with all safety requirements relative to the performance of pipeline maintenance. Utilize and maintain all required PPE and tools. Complete Hazard Assessments and issue appropriate work permits as required and act as a Company Inspector of contract work as required. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections audits, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary. Scheduling calibrations, inspections, and other related activities. Maintain facilities in a clean condition free from spills, eliminating, containing, and reporting all product and/or crude leaks, seeps and spills. Perform general housekeeping of facility buildings and yards. Respond to emergencies and assisting in maintaining Emergency Equipment. Provide effective assistance in emergency response including containment, repair, and cleanup as well as emergency preventative actions relating to abnormal Right-of-Way conditions to avert any possible incident. Alcohol / Substance Free On-Call rotation for the area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of previous experience
  • Basic understanding and use of computers
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record
  • DOT Medical Certification Card or eligibility to obtain
  • Should live within 25 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in operations or maintenance for a crude oil pipeline, tank farm, or delivery facility preferred.
