About The Position
I&S Inc. of NY is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee daily field operations, workforce coordination, equipment readiness, and client relationships. This position reports directly to the President and plays a critical leadership role in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. This is a hands-on operations leadership position for someone who understands field work, crew management, equipment logistics, and customer expectations. The Field Operations Manager works closely with the President and management team to ensure all projects are properly staffed, resourced, and executed according to plan. This role requires strong leadership, operational awareness, and the ability to coordinate between field personnel, shop operations, trucking logistics, office staff, and customers. The ideal candidate leads by example, communicates clearly, and maintains high standards for organization, safety, and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing field crews and operations
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to delegate effectively and maintain accountability
- Strong technical understanding of field operations and equipment
- Basic computer skills to support paperless workflow and reporting systems
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily with project Foremen and Drillers regarding personnel and equipment needs
- Develop and manage daily and weekly resource schedules
- Coordinate daily trucking schedules and logistics
- Ensure all job sites are properly staffed with qualified personnel
- Maintain direct communication with customer representatives to ensure expectations are met
- Ensure daily job reports are completed accurately and approved for billing
- Confirm rental equipment leaving the yard is properly documented and ticketed
- Oversee shop personnel to ensure equipment maintenance and repairs are completed
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of yard, shop, and job sites according to company standards
- Coordinate with Office Manager and Safety Manager regarding employee training and compliance requirements
- Participate in recruitment efforts alongside the President and Office Manager
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees at the shop
