About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel & Hydraulic Mechanic to join our team in Allegany, NY. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and maintaining heavy diesel-powered and hydraulic equipment. Work is primarily performed in our shop, with occasional field service at job sites. This role is ideal for a mechanic who is confident troubleshooting complex hydraulic and diesel systems and takes pride in producing high-quality, safe repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or Hydraulic Mechanic
• Strong hands-on hydraulic troubleshooting experience
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on heavy diesel engines and equipment
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Overhaul engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Perform welding and light fabrication as needed
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Travel to job sites for field repairs when required
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times
