About The Position

The Field Merchandiser is responsible for servicing the current customer base by maintaining shelf-space, sales aids, and displays. This role provides sales service specific to Masco Coatings products and DIY paint projects, with a strong emphasis on safety. Key functions include ensuring product displays are full, clean, and orderly, including color center cards and point-of-purchase materials. The merchandiser will also provide mixing assistance for paints, primers, and specialty items, and deliver excellent customer service. They are expected to expedite customer problem resolution with their assigned Team Lead, relay product information to store personnel and customers, and coordinate sales events and promotions. Continuous reporting to the Team Lead and providing information to the Regional Operations Manager are also essential duties.

Requirements

  • Educational attainment equivalent to high school graduation
  • Some sales, retail or customer service experience is required
  • Communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel to multiple stores a day
  • Ability to lift 75lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with evidence of insurance and verification of an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to provide store support at various retail locations
  • Some overnights

Responsibilities

  • Service current customer base by maintaining shelf-space, sales aids and displays.
  • Provide Sales service specific to Masco Coatings products and DIY paint projects.
  • Ensure product displays are full, clean and orderly to include color center cards and point-of-purchase materials.
  • Provide mixing assistance with paints, primers and specialty items.
  • Execute excellent customer service and overall consumer satisfaction.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints with assigned Team Lead.
  • Relay information to stores personnel and customers concerning features and benefits, new product introductions.
  • Coordinate and support sales events and promotions on Masco Coatings product and services.
  • Report information continuously to the assigned Team Lead responsible for the account to support departmental needs.
  • Provide information as requested to the Regional Operations Manager.
