About This Job We’re looking for a Field Development Representative (FDR) to be an on-the-ground presence in a defined market, focused on building strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and existing customers. This role plays a critical part in creating a consistent, human presence in key markets and helping turn real-world conversations into qualified opportunities and long-term impact. Sitting on the marketing team and working closely with Sales, the FDR ensures in-market engagement translates into measurable pipeline. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in live environments, builds relationships easily face-to-face, and follows up confidently to turn interest into pipeline.

Requirements

  • Location: Must live in New York, Manhattan preferred
  • 1–3 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience OR 1–3 years of hands-on cannabis industry experience within a local market (retail, brand, or operations)
  • Strong, trusted relationships across accounts in the assigned market
  • Consistent in-person touchpoints and engagement
  • Clear visibility into field-sourced and field-influenced opportunities
  • Positive feedback from customers and sales
  • Improved awareness and responsiveness within the region
  • Naturally relationship-driven and comfortable building rapport in person
  • Organized, reliable, and proactive in managing your time and territory
  • A strong listener who can connect customer needs to internal teams
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Familiar with CRM tools (or willing to learn)

Nice To Haves

  • Have sales experience. Strong in-market knowledge and relationship-building skills are equally valued.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain in-person relationships across a set of target accounts
  • Conduct regular on-site visits and informal check-ins with prospects and customers
  • Develop a strong understanding of local market dynamics and customer needs
  • Surface interest, buying signals, and expansion opportunities through conversations
  • Coordinate follow-up and next steps with AE/AM when appropriate
  • Support local events, meetups, and regional field initiatives as needed
  • Capture notes, context, and outcomes from field interactions in our CRM
  • Share qualitative insights and feedback with Marketing and Sales teams
