Weston & Sampson is seeking Field Data Collection Specialist for our immediate or near-term working out of our Reading office working a minimum of 30 hours per week. No previous experience is necessary. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent placement and expanded responsibilities. W hat you’ll do initially: Operate GPS Field equipment under a variety of conditions Digitization of infrastructure from record document Expanded Role: Create and manage geodatabases Project management of small-and large-scale projects in GIS Create and edit ad hoc maps based on a customer's internal/external request Work with internal/external customers to create customized mapping applications Bring in new business with existing relationships throughout the Upstate Work with engineers for best practices in GIS to help simplify workflow The ability to meet deadlines, to work cooperatively with others and when necessary, work overtime and weekends on a minimal basis
