The Opportunity The Field Contract Administrator (FCA) provides field level contract and commercial management support during project execution. This role works closely with Construction, Project Management, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Legal, and Claims to ensure contracts are executed in accordance with approved terms, risks are proactively managed, and potential claims or disputes are identified early and mitigated. The FCA serves as the on site commercial and contract interface between TC Energy and its contractors, helping bridge the gap between contract intent and field execution. What you'll do Administer construction and service contracts during execution to ensure compliance with approved agreements, pricing structures, and contractual obligations Interpret contract terms and conditions for field teams and contractors, providing clear and practical guidance Support the preparation, issuance, and administration of purchase orders, release orders, change orders, and contract amendments in coordination with Project Controls and Supply Chain Ensure contract documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained Conduct regular field visits and on‑site observations to verify contractor compliance with contractual, commercial, and safety requirements Monitor contractor deliverables including staffing plans, schedules, subcontractor lists, and required documentation Document field observations, deviations, and issues with potential commercial or contractual impact Proactively identify contract, commercial, and execution risks arising from field conditions or scope changes Support early identification and management of change events to minimize cost, schedule, and dispute impacts Assist in maintaining risk registers and documenting mitigation actions Support claims avoidance efforts through timely issue identification, documentation, and coordination with Claims and Legal teams Support contractor qualification and compliance activities, including review of submitted documentation and coordination with technical SMEs Verify contractor adherence to specifications, inspection requirements, and required forms and records Act as a key interface between Construction, Project Management, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Legal, and Claims Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to contract management processes, templates, training, and field execution practices
