This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 1 day per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA or Wilmington, DE).  OVERVIEW: The Fiduciary Advisor owns fiduciary judgment and risk decisions across the client lifecycle, ensuring fiduciary matters are evaluated and documented in alignment with governing documents, applicable law, and Glenmede’s fiduciary standards. The Fiduciary Advisor guides fiduciary review for new appointments and complex administrative matters, frames risk and maintains a defensible decision record through clear fact gathering, analysis, and documentation. The Fiduciary Advisor partners closely with client-facing teams, including Wealth Advisors and Relationship Managers, and escalates to Glenmede’s internal Fiduciary Practices Committee and internal legal counsel as required by policy and risk thresholds. This role supports a consistent client experience by enabling timely decisions while preserving appropriate governance, escalation, and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in trust administration and fiduciary decision making within a trust company or financial services environment.

  • Demonstrated strength exercising fiduciary judgment on complex trust administration matters, including risk framing, escalation decisioning, and documentation discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of trust and fiduciary concepts, estate planning structures, and fiduciary and transfer taxation considerations as applied in day-to-day and onboarding.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with relationship teams and internal stakeholders to drive timely outcomes while maintaining fiduciary governance standards.
  • Collaborative approach with strong communication skills and the ability to balance responsiveness with control discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Guide fiduciary review for complex trust administration matters, including identification of fiduciary risk, framing of options, and documentation of the decision basis and rationale.
  • Lead fact gathering and analysis to support appropriate fiduciary outcomes, including confirmation of governing document requirements and fiduciary authority relevant to the decision.
  • Lead escalation to committee, fiduciary leadership, or internal legal counsel and ensure escalation materials are complete, clear, and decision ready.
  • Guide fiduciary review for new fiduciary appointments and complex structures, ensuring governing documents meet Glenmede’s standards and can be administered prudently and efficiently.
  • Partner with Business Development, Relationship Management, Fiduciary Practices Committees and onboarding teams to address fiduciary issues early in the process, reducing downstream execution risk and rework.
  • Provide documented fiduciary feedback through established review channels to support onboarding continuity and a clear record of decision making.
  • Serve as a fiduciary subject matter resource to internal partners by providing clear, practical guidance on fiduciary administration, governance, and risk implications.
  • Collaborate with clients’ and beneficiaries’ counsel and other advisors, as appropriate, to propose solutions that align fiduciary relationships with Glenmede standards.
  • Support a consistent client experience by enabling timely fiduciary decisions that colleagues can reliably execute.
  • Reinforce fiduciary standards through coaching, case-based feedback, and participation in training efforts to improve consistency and decision quality across the organization.
  • Identify recurring fiduciary risk themes and documentation gaps and recommend improvements to procedures, templates, and escalation thresholds.
