The Fertilizer Customer Service & Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the non-protein purchasing of fertilizer inputs and the coordination of all customer orders to include booking of sales orders and the customer communications. The position also coordinates with operations and sales to determine lead-times and priorities which impact production scheduling and staffing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Proficiency with computer software including MS Office, and Oracle.
  • 3 years experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to multitask

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in business or relevant field.
  • Experience in agricultural business, especially crop input experience.
  • Experience with booking and managing freight/logistics.
  • Sales or customer service background.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchasing of non-protein fertilizer ingredients as well as source and coordinate related logistics.
  • Negotiate pricing and forecasting of non-protein ingredient needs for west and central fertilizer facilities.
  • Coordinate with operations and sales to determine production needs and scheduling plans to best meet customer and production facility needs.
  • Responsible for all facets of customer service to include booking of sales orders, billing, credits, documentation, communication, and execution of marketing and program pricing campaigns.
  • Support regional sales team with inside sales support and customer support efforts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
