About The Position

The Fellowship Coordinator will supervise and provide support to the educational mission of the Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine and Foot & Ankle Fellowship programs within the division of Orthopedics. They will aid in support of faculty physicians and fellow(s) with quality, research and educational activities. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday (40 hours) with various night and Saturday hours throughout the year, helping at our Edina, Eagan, Plymouth, Burnsville, Blaine, & Maple Grove clinics. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services or other related field required
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Software required
  • Ability to: Comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines.
  • Prioritize workload effectively.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions.
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Familiarity with Graduate Medical Education (GME), Fellowship, ACGME preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of fellowship programs from recruitment through graduation for a 1-year program.
  • Administrative management of all aspects of fellowship programs which includes coordination of fellowship recruitment, planning, execution, match list submission, development and maintaining fellow rotations for evaluations.
  • Assures that programs for the education of fellows are properly organized, well-coordinated, effective, monitored, and in compliance with requirements set by TCO and by all organizations and accrediting agencies [such as ACGME (RRC) and AOSSM, AANA, and AOFAS].
  • Responds to all inquiries relative to the department's fellowship program.
  • Perform a wide variety of administrative duties to ensure proper functioning of the fellowship.
  • Evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards.
  • Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.
  • Educates staff and acts as a point of contact for staff providing both fellowships and possible data expertise.
  • Assists in identifying areas of improvement for fellowship.
  • May provide support in the selection and implementation of research studies.
  • Maintains data integrity and comprehensive data definitions.
  • Support faculty physicians and fellows with educational activities for regional, national and international meetings
  • Collaborates with other team members to deliver solid, effective solutions.
  • Occasionally participate in community functions relating to TCO outreach events throughout the year.
  • Supports global TCO and schedules medical students/residents for clinical rotations and observers throughout the year
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
