About The Position

Federal Ethics Specialist The Opportunity : Establish processes and procedures to address ethics reviews and clearances, including finan cia l disclosure and OGE Forms 450 and 278 for new hires and finan cia l disclosure review for on-boarding personnel. Assist in addressing clearance conflicts of interest issues, including conflicts issues for technical evaluation panels. Assist in the application of federal ethics statutes, regulations, and departmental policies, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and compliance requirements across all activities. Conduct thorough reviews to identify and manage potential conflicts of interest, offering guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Act as a liaison and point of contact for ethics-related questions and issues. Provide high-level support, including managing incoming communications, delegating tasks to ethics specialists, and scheduling meetings. Work collaboratively with senior leaders, legal counsel, and ethics representatives to support program goals. Assist in the development and delivery of training materials, briefings, and educational resources to promote awareness of ethics policies and foster a culture of ethical compliance. Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of ethics-related records, as well as preparation of reports and audits as needed. You Have:

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience counseling or advising federal employees regarding federal ethics laws, regulations, and policies
  • 4+ years of e xperience working in a federal government agency ethics office or program in a role such as Ethics Counselor or Designated Agency Ethics Offi cia l
  • Experience managing complex administrative tasks and balancing competing priorities
  • Knowledge of federal ethics laws, regulations, and policies , including government-wide ethics policies and opinions issued by the Office of Government Ethics
  • Ability to explain complex regulations and procedures to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and build partnerships across multiple groups
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Government, Ethics, or Law

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HHS
  • Experience working in a federal general counsel’s office with responsibility for advising on federal ethics matters
  • Master’s degree preferred; J.D degree a plus
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills
