About The Position

We are seeking a Federal/DOD Sales Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and dealer-supported sales opportunities. You will provide inside sales support, prepare quotes, answer product questions, and conduct product demonstrations that help our dealer network successfully present and sell our equipment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys customer interaction, learning technical products, and supporting a team-based sales environment. No Federal government experience is required — full training provided. As your experience grows, there is a defined advancement path into a Government Sales Specialist role for those who demonstrate capability and interest. This role includes a clear development path, which may include: Advanced product and application training Exposure to Federal acquisition processes Working alongside Government Sales personnel Increasing responsibility in military and agency accounts Successful performers may progress into: Government Sales Specialist Which is responsible for: Federal contracting opportunities Military base customers Dealer coordination for government projects Specification and compliance positioning Your contributions help Dealers sell more confidently Customers understand capabilities Quotes go out faster and more accurately Demos convert into awarded business Future government-focused sales talent growth from within This Role Is Ideal If You: Enjoy talking with customers Like demonstrating equipment and explaining how things work Want inside sales with limited travel Want a career path, not just a job Interested in eventually working in government sales

Requirements

  • Experience in inside sales, quoting, customer engagement, or similar roles
  • Strong communication, responsiveness, and follow-through
  • Ability to explain equipment features clearly after training
  • Organized and comfortable owning customer relationships

Nice To Haves

  • Dealer or channel experience is a plus, not required
  • Mechanical, industrial, fire/emergency, or technical interest helpful
  • Basic understanding of FAR and DFAR clauses
  • Experience in Gov. contracting management and bidding is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial contact for customer and dealer inquiries
  • Prepare quotes, pricing, and configuration support
  • Conduct product demonstrations (virtual and onsite)
  • Support dealers through the sales cycle and follow-up
  • Qualify leads and coordinate next steps internally
  • Provide product information, sales tools, and competitive talking points
  • Maintain CRM activity and pipeline visibility
  • Travel occasionally for demos, dealer support, and events (up to 30%)
