The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) works to build on strengths of families and communities to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, so they thrive. We do this through investigations, services, and referrals. Performs highly advanced (senior-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Represents Statewide Intake to internal and external stakeholders by facilitating tours, conducting presentations and answering general questions from program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the general public. Conducts outreach to external partners to address issues with reporting to SWI. Creates and provides training on recognizing and reporting abuse, neglect and exploitation and coordinates other webinars and trainings offered by the Faith-Based and Community Engagement Division. Develops an intern program for Statewide Intake and is responsible for recruiting interns. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Position is regular day shift (not compressed weekend) and is hybrid and eligible to telework 2 days per week. If candidate is located outside of Austin, they will be expected to travel to Austin 1-3 days per month.
