About The Position

To support that challenge, the Vegetable Seeds team is currently seeking a Farm & Seed Operations Supervisor. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and foster a safe workplace culture. Manage day-to-day farm operations , including planning, crop production activities, and infrastructure upkeep. Lead foundation seed increase programs , ensuring genetic purity and quality standards. Oversee field management , including land preparation, planting, irrigation, pest/disease control, and harvesting. Directly supervise and coordinate field labor , including seasonal and temporary workers. Maintain proper documentation of all field activities, including labor records and operational logs (e.g., field day book). Work closely with breeding, operations, and research teams to align field execution with program objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Seed Technology, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in farm or seed operations management.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, seed multiplication, and crop management.
  • Proven ability to lead, organize, and motivate field labor teams.
  • Solid understanding of HSE principles and compliance requirements.
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ability to work in field environments for extended periods, including seasonal peaks.
