About The Position

The Farm Team Member will assist the Farm Employee with a variety of duties on the GoMacro Farm (Posillipo). This position will assist with caring for livestock (cattle, horses), maintaining fencing and pastures, paddocks, as well as maintaining farm buildings and equipment.

Requirements

• Self-starter possessing great multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to undertake manual labor
• Ability to assist in using and maintain tractor and other machinery
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must demonstrate high standard of professionalism
• Adhere to all company safety rules and guidelines
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional/as-needed weekend hours to provide consistent care to the farm animals.
• Ability to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of the company.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and solid knowledge of horses a plus (handling, grooming, training, riding etc.)
• Carpentry skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily monitoring and care of livestock and fences
• Knowledgeable in pasture rotation and cattle and horse health issues
• Experience and solid knowledge of horses a plus (handling, grooming, training, riding etc.)
• Assist in the maintenance of pastures and hayfields
• Ability to move and repair fencing
• Ability to use and maintain a tractor and other farm machinery and equipment (skid loader, ATVs, mowers, etc.)
• Willing to help with other projects as needed
• Carpentry skills a plus
• Other duties as assigned
