About The Position

The Family Support Services Program Manager will manage a team of 5-6 Family Support Specialists. The Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring the case load and case notes and relationship management of the team, including coaching, mentoring and supervision of team members. The Program Manager is responsible for program contract management, budget, and reporting to the funding agency and programmatic oversight of community outreach and record keeping.

Requirements

  • Amaster's degree in social work, LCSW or degree in Human Services preferredwith a minimum of 3-5 years relevant programexperience.
  • Strong supervisory skills and at least 3 years of experience supervisingina human service environment.
  • Experienceinhome-basedcounseling and case management services.
  • Experienceworking withculturallyand linguistically diverse population.
  • Knowledge ofworking with program budgets and contracts.
  • Experienceworking with the Department of Children andFamiliesprogramming, assessment, service planning, and case review.
  • Effective communicationandproblem-solvingskills withan attentionto detail.
  • Competentcomputerskillswith MicrosoftOffice Suiteand remote technology.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation and insurance coverage.
  • Some evening and weekendavailability asneeded foron-callwork.

  • BilingualSpanish/ English/Kamer/Haitian Creole helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Work in close collaboration with our Department of Children and Families (DCF) partners, as well as a network of community-based organizations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Responsible for hiring,training,andschedulingofstaff.
  • Provideemployeeswithweekly supervisionregardingcasemanagementand caseload.
  • Ensure employees receive ongoing trainingeachyearto provide qualitycare forclients and themselves.
  • Provideaccess to materials needed to supportwork with clients' needs.
  • Providecase management and counselingservicestoclients as needed.
  • Meetregularlywiththe programteam todiscusscase management concernsandprovide organizational updates as needed.
  • Work with Vice President on budgetand contractual obligations.
  • Oversee work performance, provide feedback toemployeesandsuggestions for improvement when necessary. Monitor progress and goals throughout the year.Prepare the annual performance appraisal for all direct report staff.
  • Report concerns including but not limited to staff performance to the Vice President of Family & youth Services.
  • Responsiblefor thepreparationand delivery oftimelysubmission of reports to the funding agency.
  • Ensure expense and mileage reimbursement forms aresubmittedmonthly by employees with documentation of all expenditures. Provide careful reviewfor approval.
  • Ensure accuracy of timecards with employee approval.
  • Attendanceat internal andexternal meetingsandtrainings.
  • Visitclient familiesintheir home.
  • Local travel as neededto perform the functions of the position.
