The Family Program Manager is responsible for the design, oversight, and continuous improvement of CMFCAA’s Family Development Program, which includes the intake process, the training team, and the assessment team. This role ensures alignment with CMFCAA’s strategic goals and funding requirements, while supporting effective implementation, evaluation, and quality assurance across multiple sites. The Family Program Manager works closely with internal leadership and external partners to develop responsive, community-centered programs and leads the Training, Assessing, and Intake/Compliance Supervisors to ensure smooth execution. This position plays a critical role in capacity building, data-driven decision-making, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders across Missouri.

  • Oversee implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Family Development Program, which includes the intake process, the training curriculum, and the completion of assessments to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Lead the design of program work plans, assessments, and contingency strategies in collaboration with the Family Development Supervisors and frontline team.
  • Supervise and mentor the Family Development Supervisors and contribute to team development through coaching, feedback, and technical support.
  • Analyze program data and performance indicators to identify areas of improvement and report outcomes to internal leadership and funding bodies.
  • Partner with community agencies and stakeholders, including Children’s Division and other family-serving organizations, to support program alignment and referrals.
  • Contribute to proposal development, capacity-building strategies, and training plans for foster, adoptive, kinship, and respite caregivers.
  • Ensure that family programs are culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and meet the evolving needs of children and families in the community.
  • Serve as a liaison to grant partners, attend regular meetings, and support the successful implementation of partnership requirements.
  • Support organizational learning by documenting best practices and participating in cross-program collaboration.
  • Maintain compliance with all CMFCAA policies, including child protection, health and safety, and equal opportunity practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a closely related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in family, child welfare, or youth-focused programming, preferably in high-need or trauma-affected populations.
  • Proven ability to lead programs, supervise staff, and manage multiple projects in complex or evolving environments.
  • Knowledge of child protection laws, family systems, and social service best practices.
  • Experience in program design, grant implementation, and outcome evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports and present data effectively.
  • Skilled in developing community partnerships and facilitating cross-sector collaboration.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Culturally competent and sensitive to working with diverse populations.
