About The Position

The Guild of St. Agnes is the largest early education and care agency in Central MA with a mission to provide families with quality and affordable childcare in a safe and nurturing environment. Join our team where you will make a tremendous impact on children's lives, one that can have a lasting impression! We are currently seeking a Full-Time Family Support Coordinator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for identifying family support resources, cultivating and coordinating available services and providing information and resources to families attending the Guild of St. Agnes' programs in both North and South County regions. The Family Support Coordinator will work in collaboration with Center Directors and Family Child Care Coordinators to identify families in need of support.

Requirements

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Possess a valid drivers' license
  • Ability and willingness to travel for community and work meetings as needed.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Worcester County communities, referral resources, and services available to families.
  • BA degree in Social Work or related services.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Maintain a Suitable background record check.

  • Dual or multi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Center Directors and FCC staff to develop the resources and supports available to families, and to remove barriers to families' connections to key services.
  • Work collaboratively with Center and FCC staff to identify families in need of support including with behavioral health, health and nutrition, financial and legal services, and other social services.
  • Work collaboratively with outside agencies such as YOU, Inc. to determine appropriate services for individual families and children.
  • Meet (in person, on the phone or over Zoom) with families to discuss supportive strategies and referrals to meet the family's needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of the number of children identified, the children observed, the family meetings/contacts, and the progress made with selected families.
  • Safeguard and limit access to confidential information to individuals or agencies allowed by law.
  • Participate in Child and Family Engagement training including Reflective Practices.
  • Participate in community networking and educational events to develop relationships with external partners and resources.
